Bulgaria Overlooking the castle

The terrain of Zhangbi Village is roughly high in the west and low in the east, high in the south and low in the north. It is surrounded by thick rammed earth fort walls. A redstone street in the middle runs through the north and south in the form of an "S". There are seven streets in the west and three in the east. The remaining buildings in the fort are basically Ming and Qing architecture. On the whole, the buildings on the west are tall and majestic, while the buildings on the east are low and shabby, forming a clear pattern of "poor in the east and rich in the west".

The history of Zhangbi Village has roughly gone through three stages. From the initial docking stage, to the military town stage of the Eastern Wei Dynasty, Northern Qi Dynasty, and the end of Sui Dynasty, to the evolution of fortified villages after the Five Dynasties and the Two Songs, the pattern of today was finally formed. After textual research, in Wubi and Zhangbi in the military town era, villagers mainly lived in the area west of the current main street and north of Xichang Lane. At that time, the east of Main Street was mainly used to store grain and grass, and West Field Lane was mainly used for training soldiers. After the army town was abandoned, and only after the Tang Dynasty, the east was gradually inhabited.
